Foundation

This organization was established by breast cancer survivor and AMA drag racer, Lea “The Dream Catcher” Martinez. Even though Lea wasn’t able to continue to do the physical work in her previous job she was still employable.

With no employment on the horizon she was turned down for temporary disability, unemployment benefits and her husband made too much money for food stamp benefits. Mentally drained she had nowhere to turn for help.

Fortunately, at a dinner party one night a friend told the group she had cancer. They immediately took up a donation for her struggling family. Later at a PRO convention she was told of a biker club that gives cancer patients $300 spend however they like. She wish she knew of that resource in her time of need.  It was that frustration that fueled a passion to help cancer survivors make ends meet while going though such a mentally and financially draining time.

The Lea Martinez Foundation’s mission is to raise money for families of breast cancer patients. Funds are given directly to families in need.
